Certifications

Over the years, I have earned almost every award, certification and designation available in the industry.  I am among the top 1% of all agents in Fairfield County.  I have won the Double Gold Medallion and the exclusive Platinum awards for productivity and quality service.

I achieved the following designations:

Expertise in all of Fairfield County, Connecticut. Connecticut Broker’s License

      • BROKER
Most real estate agents are just Salespersons or Agents.  I hold an actual Real Estate Broker’s license, given to Agents only after years and years of hands-on battlefield experience and only after passing excruciating exams demonstrating expertise in the industry.

        • REALTOR®
All real estate licensees are not the same. Only those who are members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® are properly called REALTORS®. They proudly display the REALTOR© logo on their business cards or other marketing and sales literature. REALTORS® are committed to treating all parties to a transaction honestly. REALTORS® subscribe to a strict Code of Ethics and are expected to maintain a higher level of knowledge of the process of buying and selling real estate.  In a recent survey, an all-time high of 76 percent of consumers surveyed said they would be more likely to use a REALTOR® in their next transaction than an agent who wasn’t a REALTOR® or try to buy a home without professional representation.

        • RELOCATION SPECIALIST
I have spent years working with regional employers and relocation companies, bringing buyers directly to my listings, and helping transferred employees find and sell homes in Fairfield County. In doing so, I have developed the expertise required to become a Certified Relocation Professional (CRP).  I am pre-registered and certified to work with all of the relocation services offered by most employers.  I have honed my skills in relocation policies and procedures, including temporary living arrangements; house hunting and school and town tours; employer mortgage programs; international moves; legal issues; and a variety of other topics related to the special needs of transferring families and employees.

      • e-PRO®
The e-PRO® certification is a real estate industry certification similar to various industry designations such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant, an accounting industry designation) or CFP (Certified Financial Planner, a financial industry designation). e-PRO® is the only certification program of its kind recognized nationwide and endorsed by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®. The e-PRO® certification is the Association’s online training program to certify real estate professionals as Internet Professionals.  The education received in the e-PRO program is considered by many as the most comprehensive online training program available today to REALTORS® in the nation. The e-PRO program is designed to enhance REALTORS®’ knowledge of real estate marketing and online skills that set them apart from the competition. An e-PRO® certified REALTOR® will be able to meet the needs and expectations of today’s Web-Connected Consumer who wants access to instant and detailed information. You know the type: they’re constantly on their iPhone®, iPad®, Android® or Blackberry®. The rules of business are changing, especially in the real estate industry. The e-PRO® certification program is specifically designed to keep REALTORS® on top of changes and be at the forefront or cutting edge in online marketing techniques.  Is your agent e-PRO® certified? If not, they may not have the knowledge needed to best market your property online and on the fast changing technological world of the internet! Trust the knowledge and skills of an e-PRO® REALTOR®!

      • Accredited Staging Professional™
Many agents claim they know how to “stage” a home.  But, only an Accredited Staging Professional™ is certified to Stage® a home.  The term Stage® is trademarked by the US Patent Office.  Staging® is not decorating, fluffing, or interior design.  It is based on the premise that the way we live in a home and the way we market a home for sale are two different things.  It’s all about making a home appealing to the largest pool of buyers, typically with spending little or no money at all.  When we do spend a little money, it’s only when we’re confident we can increase the value of the house or cause it to sell faster.  And, Staging® works! Studies done by Duke University and IAHSP have shown that Staged® homes sell 83% faster!  I was personally trained by Barb Schwartz, the founder of The International Association of Home Staging Professionals® (IAHSP®) – the only professional home staging association that is dedicated strictly to the home staging industry.  It is part of the Real Estate Industry and not the decorating or design industries.

      • GRI®
GRI®, which stands for Graduate REALTOR® Institute, is a nationally recognized professional real estate designation. The GRI® designation is considered the nation’s number one real estate designation. New technology, laws, procedures and the increasing sophistication of buyers and sellers require real estate practitioners to perform at an ever-increasing level of professionalism. So, it’s more important than ever that you work with an agent who has a keen understanding of the real estate business. The GRI® program has helped the best and the brightest in the industry achieve that level of understanding. Only 19% of agents nationwide have successfully earned the GRI® designation. When you see the letters “GRI®” after an agent’s name, you can count on receiving the knowledge and guidance you need to make your transaction go smoothly. In short, you can count on getting the best service available from a real estate professional.

      • ABR®
These three letters after a REALTOR’s® name tell you that you will be working with a buyer representative who is among the top 2% of buyer agents and someone committed to your best interests.  (Source: NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®.)  An “Accredited Buyers Representative®” is someone who has an established track record, with proven experience in representing the concerns of home buyers. The ABR® designation is awarded by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council only to those REALTORS who have met the rigorous educational and experiential criteria needed to provide the high-level, quality service required. The designation is intended for agents who wish to enhance their buyer representation skills and provides proof to prospective buyer-clients of their proficiency at servicing the special needs of buyers.

    • Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist®
Recognized as the mark of accomplishment in luxury markets around the world, the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) designation assures affluent buyers and sellers that the agents who have earned it have the knowledge, experience, competence, and confidence they require.  Members of The Institute of Luxury Home Marketing who hold the CLHMS designation have documented performance in the TOP 10% of their markets, and have successfully demonstrated their expertise in the luxury home and estate market. The Institute exists to help buyers and sellers of luxury homes and estates find real estate professionals who specialize in the luxury home market and have completed extensive training to build additional competencies.  Members of The Institute actively seek out the latest information in marketing strategies, stay on top of changing market conditions, and know how to handle the special needs of an elite clientele and their exceptional properties.
