La Roue Elayne at Cobb’s Mill Inn is opening for business this weekend, just in time for Mother’s Day.
The historic restaurant, which has been closed since 2010, received its certificate of occupancy from the fire marshal and Building Department last week.
La Roue Elayne opens its doors Saturday night, May 12, at 8 with the live band Original Sin and an open bar. There will be a $10 cover charge.
The restaurant will then be serving a special Mother’s Day menu on Sunday, May 13, starting with brunch from 11 to 1, then serving a full dinner menu, with the last reservations taken at 6.
Menu selections will include salmon, lobster, ham, lamb, beef, and seafood. A children’s menu is also available. Call 203-227-7221 for reservations.
The restaurant will then open with a limited pub menu on Tuesday, May 15, finally going “full force” a week later, said Elayne Cassara, the restaurant’s owner and entertainment coordinator.
Cobb’s Mill will be open for dinner seven days a week, from 5 to 9 Sunday through Thursday, and 5:30 to 10 on Friday and Saturday. A sit-down brunch will be served from 11 to 2:30 on Sundays.
